This is a 1 – 2 year training programme. During which time trainees will work in the specified areas of the Collection and Housing Benefits service to develop competence and gain work experience.
The post may work in all sections in the service as required for training purposes or to meet organisational needs. Additionally post holders will be expected to work at Harrow Contractor offices and voluntary organisations’ local offices. At the end of the programme trainees will be competent in one area of activity and have knowledge and of the others areas.
To develop the competence and achieve acceptable standards of performance in assisting G3 to G6 Officers in carrying out the administration of Revenues and Benefits, Cashier, Parking ticket processing and system functions.

· Experience in a customer service environment · 2 A levels and 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including Maths and English · Good interpersonal skills · Good communication skills · Able to adapt to different working environments · Able to use a range of different IT applications to source and accurately record information
You will receive an in-depth induction, comprehensive on the-job-training and you will also work towards a Business Administration level 3 qualification.
Trainees will be required to pass performance, competence and knowledge assessments as part of each probation review at specified intervals. Trainees will study for an appropriate NVQ or other qualification as may be required.
